Sidewalk Gardens to Bragg About: Jennifer Gates, Field Director with the California Preservation Foundation, will be visiting Fort Bragg this week. To hear her speak about “The Dollars and Sense of Preservation”, plan to attend the Fort Bragg City Council Meeting on Monday evening July 26 at 6 PM at Town Hall. A talk about Preservation by Jennifer Gates will also be featured on Tuesday afternoon July 27 at “Tea at Two” at the Weller House Inn Ballroom at 2 PM. Questions and answers will follow.
During “Tea at Two”, the Fort Bragg Garden Club will also present their First Annual Award Ceremony honoring “Sidewalk Gardens to Bragg About”. Terra Cotta plaques created by noted artist Sev Ickes will be presented to three top gardens. The “Tea at Two” event is free but space in the charming Historic Ballroom is limited. To reserve a seat, please call 961-1888. “Tea at Two” and Jennifer Gates’ visit to Fort Bragg is sponsored by the Heritage Days of Mendocino County Committee.
The seventh year of Heritage Days of Mendocino County was held in May 2010. We expanded Heritage Days to cover the entire county this year, so there were many new sponsors, venues, and events.

Did you know that Hollywood has been filming movies on the Mendocino Coast for at least 100 years?
